A Bit About Us

Uncle Jeffrey is known by this name as he was in a band named 'by the fans' no joke. They started out just jamming at an open jam...the same 5 or 6 guys every week and people started booking them for parties and wondering where they were playing 'after hours'. The fans named the band Uncle Jeffreys Roadside Circus and it stuck. The band isn't together any longer, but most of them will be getting together in March so check it out to learn more.

Uncle Jeffrey & Aunty Reni met in 1982 at the 'US Festival'. It would've been her first Dead show but Uncle Jeffrey chased her in circles yelling how she 'was his woman'...she wound up sleeping late and missed the Dead.

Her next opportunity was in 1994 and she got to see them. She liked them so much, she decided to go to a couple more shows & remembered seeing Uncle Jeffrey at each and every one of them...they could've met again so many times but didn't until the show at Deer Creek in Indiana.

It was the worst of times.

But it was the best of times.

They didn't leave the midwest empty handed. He encouraged her through Massage school and she graduated with a 3.8. After a decade of successful practice she came across these Jerry Garcia Sunglasses...took a chance..took a leap of faith-bought several thousand pair and poof!

Now there's a brick n mortar summer store for the tourists where we not only sell Grateful Dead sunglasses, but all sorts of others.

Plus fun beach stuff like coconut bras, stickers, hats and hula skirts
